Some people have even started calling Nepal a "Mecca for Mountain biking." Until few years back, visitors came to Nepal mostly to trek, climb , raft or to see the Tigers in the wild. But now, a new sensation has begun.mountain biking.The best way to explore the Kathmandu Valley is on a mountain bike. Nepal 's diverse terrain is a mountain biker's dream adventure come true. Mountain biking offers an environmentally sound way of exploring this magnificent country, its landscape and living heritage. There are plenty of dirt roads and trails in Nepal to meet every mountain biker's wildest fantasy. Mountain biking is specially recommended if you wish to explore urban centers of Nepal such as Pokhara and Kathmandu as well as the countryside. Adventurous souls may plan extended trips to such exotic locales as Namche Bazaar, and western Nepal . You could even do the entire length of Nepal across the plains. Mountain bikes are available for rent by the day or longer in many of the bicycle rental outlets in and around the city.

Kathmandu to Mulkharka, 22km (1660m) |
Today you leave Kathmandu via Budhanilkantha and enter the shivarpuri national park. Its up hill and a bit steep for the last 3km.you have Good views of the valley and once over the ring road its traffic free off road biking. You can visit a historic Gompa / Monastery. Over night in Mulkharka. |

Mulkharka to Chisopani 21km(2195m) |
Today you follow a jeep track up and down into the heart of the national park. From Chisopani you can have good mountain views. Over night in Chisopani. |

Day 04. |
Chisopani to Nagarkot 25 km (2000m) |
Today is again traffic free riding as you leave chisopani via the track and head up to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a scenic hill top village and is famous for having the best mountain views in the valley. |

Day 05. |
Nagarkot to Dhulikhel 32 km (1600m) |
Leave Nagarkot and go down hill for some way and rejoin the road for the short climb to Dhulikhel another ideal hill town. Over night in Dhulikhel. |

Dhulikhel to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur 32km (1300m) |
